A proven leader with a history of growing successful businesses, Joel Portice has extensive entrepreneurial experience with healthcare software and data analytics companies. Prior to leading egnite, Joel served as the CEO of KEPRO and, prior to KEPRO, as CEO of Intermedix where he led the company’s successful acquisition by R1 RCM.

Earlier in his career, Joel co-founded IPS, Inc. and Enclarity, both of which were acquired by market-leading corporations. He went on to serve as president of Verisk Health, where he led the company’s unprecedented growth prior to its acquisition by Veritas Capital. An esteemed leader, Joel was awarded “Most Admired CEO by the Nashville Business Journal” in 2017 and 2019, and also received the Alumni Achievement Award for Professional Achievement from the University of South Dakota where he earned his B.S. Additionally, Joel holds an M.A. from Hamline University, where he was awarded Trustee Emeritus.
