Kahla Verhoef brings more than 15 years of cardiovascular experience to the egnite team. Most recently, Kahla drove product and portfolio management for the CardioCare program at Edwards Lifesciences. In this role, she drove the design and development of CardioCare’s 2.0 platform, working closely with customers to ensure that this platform would deliver meaningful change to cardiovascular patient care.

Before joining Edwards Lifesciences, Kahla led complex, innovative initiatives across Medtronic’s cardiovascular businesses – ranging from Cardiac Rhythm and Management to Cardiovascular Solutions to Structural Heart. Within the Structural Heart business, Kahla spearheaded the economic value marketing strategy for the US and led a multimillion-dollar operational excellence initiative to identify key performance indicators and inflection points in structural heart patient care. Within the Cardiovascular Strategic Accounts team, Kahla led efforts to develop, execute and monitor marketing strategies that differentiated Medtronic Cardiovascular as a strategic partner of choice. One of those initiatives was a comprehensive, customizable approach to improving heart failure patient care – built in partnership with leading healthcare institutions in the United States, as well as global partners across Medtronic. Kahla joined Medtronic in 2006 as a Clinical Specialist and spent nearly eight years in the field, working with world-class physicians and EP fellows.

Kahla holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University and a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Kahla is passionate about serving the underserved and has spent time in both Mexico and Kenya to help expand access to cardiovascular care and education.
