egnite, Inc. (“egnite,” “our,” or “we”) is committed to protecting the privacy and privacy choices of our online visitors and others whose Personal Data we receive. This Privacy Statement describes our policies and practices on the collection, use, and storage of information on “www.egnitehealth.com” (“Site”), and also applies to Personal Information which we obtain and process other than through the Site (for example, personal information about consultants, service providers or other vendors received in the course of doing business).

This Privacy Statement does not apply to patient information processed through the CardioCare® platform. That information is processed in accordance with HIPAA and egnite’s Business Associate Agreement with the health care institution providing the data to the CardioCare platform.

We do not control or endorse the content of any third-party sites and cannot accept responsibility for the privacy practices of any websites not controlled by us. Information we collect on our Sites This section describes information that visitors might choose to provide, as well as our practices for the automatic collection and use of IP address and other non-personal information and a visitor’s navigation through the Site.

Information you provide Through your use of the Site, you may choose to provide us with personal information that identifies you or your family members. Personal information includes a person’s name, postal or email address, phone number, Social Security Number, or any other information that would allow egnite to identify or contact you. For example, a job applicant may choose to apply for a job online or request additional information about job opportunities. A health care professional might request a copy of a publication, register for an event or ask that we send information about one or more of our products or services. In order to fulfill your request, we may ask for personal information such as your name, postal or email address, phone number, and perhaps a medical license number or other information to verify eligibility for an event.

Information we collect automatically In order to improve the online experience, we routinely collect IP address and other information about our visitors and their use of the Site. For example, we record the IP address of each computer/device that logs onto our Site, which allows us to maintain communication with your computer/device during your visit.

We also use “cookies,” which are small text files that are placed on your computer/device, as well as similar devices such as local storage and pixels. Cookies allow us to identify how you move through the Site and any specific content you visit, and allow us to identify your computer/device the next time you visit so that we can bring you information you may be interested in. Information provided to us outside the site We recognize that we might receive personal information in ways other than through our website. For example, we collect information about our customers and potential customers for the purposes of providing our products and services – such as contact information, financial/billing information, and any other information that is provided to us during the course of doing business. Job applicants may submit paper applications. We may also maintain records of our visits with physician customers and their attendance at educational and other events we host. We also collect information from our vendors, suppliers, consultants, professional advisors and other third parties for the purposes of managing and operating our business. Personal Information is given the same protection by us, whether we receive it through the Site or by other means. This Privacy Statement applies to Personal Information collected or received by us, no matter how the information was received.

How we use the information we collect If we collect information about you, we will use that information for a range of purposes:

To respond to your specific inquiry or request, and to provide you with information and access to resources that you have requested from us;

To provide, operate, maintain and improve our website(s), and to improve system security and administration; this includes analyzing website traffic to understand what content is viewed most often by visitors and to detect any security issues on the website;

egnite does not sell personal information to third parties for the purpose of the third parties’ own marketing, although we do use third parties to assist in our marketing efforts.

We may also aggregate the device-related and analytics information we collect, which helps us to improve the Site by monitoring overall interest in the content, understanding how visitors navigate the Site, and diagnosing any problems with the Site.

Also, if you choose to provide personal information to us, we may combine that information with IP address and the non-personal information collected through cookies, to help us understand your specific interests.

Disclosure of information to third parties egnite discloses certain information about Site visitors to third parties, for assistance with our sales, marketing, and customer relationship management activities. Specifically, we disclose information to:

CloudFlare: provides bot management for HubSpot scripts.

Google LLC (Ads, Analytics, DoubleClick and reCAPTCHA): Google Analytics assists us with analysis of website traffic. We use Google Ads to show advertisements to our past website visitors when they visit other, non-egnite websites. Please see Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) for information about their use of information. The reCAPTCHA tool helps prevent bot and abuse in forms on our website.

Hubspot, Inc.: We use Hubspot software for marketing and customer relationship management. If you are already known to us (for example, if you clicked a link in a previous email or submitted a form to us) HubSpot links your website activity to our Hubspot record about you. LinkedIn Corporation: If you have previously visited our Site, the LinkedIn Insight Tag can show retargeting ads to you when you visit LinkedIn. You can view LinkedIn’s privacy policy at linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

YouTube: YouTube displays videos available through the site.

In addition, if a third party buys egnite or any of our assets, we may disclose information to that third party in connection with the sale. We will make clear to the third party that it may only use personal information it receives from us for the purposes for which it was originally intended. In some instances, we may also be required by law, subpoena, or court order to disclose information.

Consent to processing of your information The Site content is intended for a U.S. audience only, and your Personal Information is maintained in the United States. We take reasonable measures to ensure your personal information remains protected to the standards described in this policy, wherever it is processed. Your use of the Site represents your consent.

Your privacy choices You have opportunities to make choices about the data we receive and how we use it, including:

Please be aware that, because information may be stored in multiple locations, it may not always be possible to identify every location where your information is stored, and in some instances it may appear in a non-erasable format.

Children’s privacy egnite is a digital health company whose customers are health care professionals and researchers; our Site content and our products and services are not applicable to children. We do not intend to collect personal information from children under age 18. If you believe that your child has submitted personal information and you would like to request that their information be removed from our systems, please notify us at privacy@egnitehealth.com. We will make reasonable efforts to comply with your request.

Data Retention egnite will retain data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, unless a law or regulation requires that it be kept longer. Please see the “Cookies” section below for specific information about cookie-related data retention.

Our commitment to data security and protection egnite understands the importance of securing personal information against theft, loss, alteration, or misuse, and we use industry-standard technologies to protect the security of information. Despite these reasonable efforts, we cannot guarantee that such loss will never occur. There is always a risk that a third party, without our authorization, might unlawfully access our systems or otherwise access personal information.
